oh man.

In the early years of highschool, most of my friends and peers were wearing dickies. For those of you closer in age to me (early early twenty-somethings), do you remember dickies? Well, I still have a pair of black dickies, worker pants, and I'm wearing them again!... I definitely didn't lose weight, actually gained it, although I have been working out a lot recently with plenty of cardio and weight training. I'm glad to be back in them. Still shooting video footage so I still have to wear pretty boring work looking outfits in the heat... am covering a story on recess and will be outside most of the day... but here it is... my not so fun looking outfit from my late teens. Looking at this picture, I say I must retire this shirt... it's not a very photogenic shirt... too shiny with the flash on!

today's look:
{top: n/a, pants: dickies work pants, sandals: xhileration from target (& yes, I wear these a lot), oh and i added a necklace... not pictured here}

Last night my journalism club had a photoshoot with a professional photographer and a mediocre make-up artist. She did a bad job with the other girls make-up... but she did the worst make-up on me... I mean, I came fresh faced and everything! I'm not the prettiest person... but she sure made me look the ugliest for our photoshoot, it was horrible. I cried when I saw it, but didn't want her to see and feel bad... so I went into the restroom to wipe the tears away and sponge off some of the damage she had done. The other girls tried really hard not to laugh, but I looked like a clown/geisha girl! And they all agreed, I had the worst make-over. The girl frizzed my hair with a crimper and then added teeny ringlet curls that she brushed out, so it began to look more like a fro. I had brought my own make-up but she wanted to use hers, she used the same foundation with the same applicator sponge on all seven girls... that is disgutsing and we're not even the same shades of skin color.

She used a purple stain for my lips and missed my lips completely... the eye shadow~ don't get me started on the eye shadow... looked rediculous... she used white eye shadow with bright white glitter! She didn't put glitter on any of the other girls... so why did she decide to use glitter on me? -I have no idea... It was horrible... I ended up having my pictures taken' looking like that... and my character for the poster... an anchor-woman... with clown-like make-up...guhh, I looked like mimi from the drew carey show... maybe she wasn't able to work with asian eyes, who knows?!

  1. Oh no! That sucks about the make-up. What is it for? Just the project only hopefully? Sorry that sounds like a terrible make-up artist (if you can can call her that).
