goggle tans suck!

For those that follow my seastar Viv' over at Diamonds and Tulle, you probably already know where I've been... 

It was my birthday last friday and it was an awesome birthday spent in Mammoth with my big sis and bro. They even treated me to happy hour at Hyde Lounge and a resort massage, which was great after a full day of boarding. 

We spent the whole weekend up there and I got this funky tan which I like to call the "5-o-clock shadow" tan.

This morning I got a haircut at Aveda and boy, does it seem so short... but I know it really isn't. My hair is naturally straight so this pic was taken right out of the salon, I then curled it myself at home.

I'm so excited to say that I'm starting a month-long adventure tomorrow morning! 

 2/10-2/14(will be flying LA -> BOSTON to meet up w/ some close gf's and visit our dear lesilly whose away for dental school, brrr")

2/14-2/24(will be flying BOSTON -> PHOENIX to see and spend time with my love and friends)

2/24-2/28(will be flying PHOENIX -> HOUSTON to visit my dear and closest friends T&R, and to see their new house! and to also do lunch with G on Sat.)

2/28-3/1(head home to HOUSTON -> LA/OC, where I will pack once again!)

3/1-3/3(will be flying LA -> SEATTLE to visit dad w/ mom and sis')

3/3-3/7(will drive from SEATTLE -> VANCOUVER -> SEATTLE w/ sis)

3/7(will be flying SEATTLE -> LA/OC, back to reality)

Hopefully, these trips will provide my blog with many pictures!  

bananagrams

Today we played bananagrams! It was my first time playing. Tons of fun, kind of like scrabble beginners version. It was a really short day and I left early since I have to get my gas turned on so that I could have my first real shower in three/four days or so. If it can't be turned on by today, I will have to ride my bike over to Dave's house. He offered to let me shower there... so niice. Off to the gas co., wish me luck!

first day of school

School officially started on Mon, however I only have one class this semester (Wed and Fri), school starts today for me.

I gave my application and a check to the real estate agent who I'm hopefully getting my contract and keys from this today, like this afternoon. I feel like an idiot for giving her a check before even signing a contract... I feel dooped, but I don't think she'll do anything with the it until I get everything signed and the keys. 

SO I found a little duplex of an apartment, it looks like a little cottage in there. I have living room with wood floors and a working fireplace for the winter. The layout is kind of weird since the only closet is in the living room, a walk-in that has a window... strange... It has a good sized kitchen and a bathroom right off the breakfast nook.... clawfoot tub and all. The bedroom is teeny-tiny and could only fit my bed and maybe a small stand for a tv... who knows... and there's an entry to my parking space out back into the bedroom. VEry strange layout... I know...

Can't wait for class only an hour left before I get to see my old' journalism buddies.

falling ice

It started out as a very very hott summer day in t-town.

Class was great, the children are great, as always... It's funny how these kids can spell and write great stories for class, but they still forget to capitalize the first word at the beginning of a sentence and forget to put periods at the ends.

I looked at several apartments and some I thought were great, until I noticed things like no parking, roaches or no a/c... what in the world? It gets to be over 110 degrees on a normal day... I have no idea how the tenants before dealt. 

I found a place so close to campus... but then, there was the roach and no real parking. I found another place that I thought was perfect, but I didn't jump on it fast enough because it was rented out...boo. I just never got to see the place in real-life, only through pics. Another place with a strange layout, but might just be the one... it's walking distance to school and the bars. And who knows, my bedroom might just be in the kitchen since the kitchen is so much bigger than the bedroom. At least it has a fireplace for the winter... 

Tonight I will be packing, my clothes, that is... I have so much clothes, I'd say that it's half of what I'm moving... I think I'll be moving more clothes to my closet-room at the BF's house in PHX.

The BF and I met up with my best friends' and their bf's over this weekend in vegas. Our flight luckily wasn't that long, only an hour or less from PHX. We left right after the BF got off work. My gf's however made it there earlier- one couple from OC, CA and the other from Hou, TX.

It was a crazy weekend let me tell you. I never went to vegas with a bf before, it's always been with gf's and once with my best guy friend K. Going with the bf was soo much fun. We started off our flight meeting some Canadian guys who were super nice and decided to spread the vegas love by giving us chugs of their bottles of duty-free crown royal... not to mention, the BF and I had already drank two strong Russian Marys and Mexican Marys at the airport bar. 

What I worried about the most was us girls not having enough time to get ready for nightlife, but the boys were very patient with us and got along fine. The BF even enjoyed the sexy clubbing outfits I wore... to bad we didn't take pics of our outfits... this is what happens when the boys are around... the girls forget to take pics and we come out with 1/4th the amt of pics we'd normally take...
