swamp cooler

I had planned to call my landlord today to see if I could perhaps get my swamp cooler fixed right away. However, my phone died last night and I looked through all my moving boxes and bags for my charger and could'nt find it. I ordered another charger on ebay last night, hopefully it won't take too long before I can use my cell.

Also, I did have a car charger, which I was using for the past week, but have left in Cali when I went to visit my parents for Labor Day weekend.

The Bf is coming to t-town tomorrow. I miss him. Two weeks seems like too long... This weekend will be full of fun with the homecoming game (pregame) and birthday parties and all.

Anwho, today was a short day since my stomach wasn't feeling too well.

bananagrams

Today we played bananagrams! It was my first time playing. Tons of fun, kind of like scrabble beginners version. It was a really short day and I left early since I have to get my gas turned on so that I could have my first real shower in three/four days or so. If it can't be turned on by today, I will have to ride my bike over to Dave's house. He offered to let me shower there... so niice. Off to the gas co., wish me luck!

shifting buttons

Yay, so I finally got the "shifting buttons" skirt from Anthro. I've been wanting it since I first saw one of the workers displaying a stack of them on a table at the Scotts, Az location. My sister viv' bought it first, but I waited... and yes, it got marked down!

I was so happy I headed to the nearest Anthro to try one on again, ended up spending another $300 on that skirt and some other sale merch. I wore it to class today!

first day of school

School officially started on Mon, however I only have one class this semester (Wed and Fri), school starts today for me.

I gave my application and a check to the real estate agent who I'm hopefully getting my contract and keys from this today, like this afternoon. I feel like an idiot for giving her a check before even signing a contract... I feel dooped, but I don't think she'll do anything with the it until I get everything signed and the keys.

SO I found a little duplex of an apartment, it looks like a little cottage in there. I have living room with wood floors and a working fireplace for the winter. The layout is kind of weird since the only closet is in the living room, a walk-in that has a window... strange... It has a good sized kitchen and a bathroom right off the breakfast nook.... clawfoot tub and all. The bedroom is teeny-tiny and could only fit my bed and maybe a small stand for a tv... who knows... and there's an entry to my parking space out back into the bedroom. VEry strange layout... I know...

Can't wait for class only an hour left before I get to see my old' journalism buddies.

g~it's hard to say good-byes

The BF and I stayed in pretty much all weekend since we were both sick, him especially...

However, sat., we did manage an outting to our friend, G's, house for a fairwell party from his family. I met and mingled with a lot of his parents friends who were great people for me to network with.

I'm glad I wore my awesome anthro sale find from vegas.
{Anthropologie "noche en la copa" dress}

dress: edme & esyllte, anthropologie
belt: anthropologie
sandals: urban outfitters

And it was the BF's idea to take some pics in front of the house before we left to the party... he liked this dress a lot.

The BF has had this group of friends for the past four/five years. There are three of them. G is heading off to med school in the carribean and K is working a job managing golf courses. It was a sad parting night as the boys sang there traditional spring break song, "Deperado"... it was really quite cute watching these guys do a last parting song together. I wanted to take a picture but they wouldn't let me, however, I do have an oldie from two years ago... tehee...

couples retreat

The BF and I met up with my best friends' and their bf's over this weekend in vegas. Our flight luckily wasn't that long, only an hour or less from PHX. We left right after the BF got off work. My gf's however made it there earlier- one couple from OC, CA and the other from Hou, TX.

It was a crazy weekend let me tell you. I never went to vegas with a bf before, it's always been with gf's and once with my best guy friend K. Going with the bf was soo much fun. We started off our flight meeting some Canadian guys who were super nice and decided to spread the vegas love by giving us chugs of their bottles of duty-free crown royal... not to mention, the BF and I had already drank two strong Russian Marys and Mexican Marys at the airport bar.

What I worried about the most was us girls not having enough time to get ready for nightlife, but the boys were very patient with us and got along fine. The BF even enjoyed the sexy clubbing outfits I wore... to bad we didn't take pics of our outfits... this is what happens when the boys are around... the girls forget to take pics and we come out with 1/4th the amt of pics we'd normally take...

And off we went...

Oh, and my outfit for today:
No make-up and hair done yet in these shots, oh and i ended up wearing black flats instead. oops.

another sale shopping spree

The niice sales lady at the Anthropologie in Scottsdale let me sneak my bf in the dressing room since I had to keep coming out to show him each piece. LOL. First time shopping for myself with him there. I always feel weird shopping with him around me so I never do it. He made it real fun in the end~

The things I bought:

{Moulinette Soeurs "Arribada Current Dress"}

{"ode to spring tank" little yellow button}

{"Three's a Charm skirt" Anna Sui for Anthropologie}

{Idra "Pipe up the Band jacket"}

{Eloise top, it looks better in person}

Things I didn't get:

I liked this skirt, but felt it made me look a bit hipp-y

I know a lot of people were talking about this skirt when it came out and it had it's first mark down to $30, but if you didn't get it and wanted it and are a size 4,6,8. They have this for a whopping $10 at the Scottsdale Anthropologie. It was just too big for me and didn't fit well on my waist and fell to my hips. The bf thought it looked to gypsy-ish too. I still like the tulip cut...

Believe it or not, the bf picked this dress out. I felt like a cute farm girl about to go churn some butter. My sister however, love love loved it. $80

I loved the flower on this dress and the price was perfect, but the sleeve on the sz.2 had a little red lipstick stain on it and it was the only one in that size. That is why I didn't buy it. It was ony $50

and these cropped jackets were both really cute, but I didn't have enough in my budget for them... tear.

Oh, and if anyone ever sees this dress on sale in the "future" please notify me immediately. Thanks :)

buttons

A week ago I went to my local Goodwill~
I found buttons and they look like they were going to fit perfectly with one of my favorite Anthropologie jackets (They do seem a tad darker, but c'mon now, I found them at the Goodwill_).
You see, I actually lost two buttons {the center bottom two} on this jacket and wasn't sure what I was going to do, I thought I'd have to find an all new set of buttons. Luckily, I was able to replace them with these 25 cent set of buttons and w/ extra to spare.
